ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

 SINGLE MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

An Environmental Management System (EMS) is a set of processes and practices that enable an organisation to reduce its environmental impacts and increase its operating efficiency. An EMS helps an organisation address its regulatory demands in a systematic and cost-effective manner. This proactive approach can help reduce the risk of noncompliance and improve health and safety practices for employees and the public.

Environmental monitoring are the processes and activities that characterize and monitor the quality of the environment.

Monitoring strategies and programmes are designed to establish, monitor and manage the status of an environment and to establish trends or identify risk. The results of monitoring are reviewed, analysed statistically and reported or documented and utilised to establish a successful and dynamic monitoring and management system. It contributes to the optimised maintenance and safety of any controlled process and its optimum goal achievement.

Architecture

Architecture
The Adroit EMS has both a Safety/Environment and Fire Detection component. The AEMS module includes the easy deployment and management of sensors, visualisation built on the fly, early detection of fire and various reports required for regulation bodies. It strategically plays a vital role in safeguarding the lives of underground personnel and protecting valuable equipment.

Single Platform Interface

The MAPS EMS module is a single management platform and interface for the implementation of environmental telemetry. The platform has been developed to allow OEM supplier’s plug-in’s to work seamlessly within the framework. These includes most of the leading sensor and PLC suppliers.

Platform Interface Wizards

Both predefined and customizable Interfaces can be used for exceptionally rapid deployment.

Drag and Drop

Functionality generated through the Drag and Drop Interface Wizards includes hierarchical  attributes, sensor attributes, all data logging, alarming and reporting.

Click and Deploy

Through the EMS management hierarchy, sensors and objects can be created and managed through a simple click and deply process.

Crisis Management

Rapid visualization of active sensors placed in a crisis event.

Ease of Active Management

The ability to move sensors and redefine safety zones without the need of engineers or software designers.

Monitor  –  Manage  –  Control

Gas

Monitors and alarms on activities of certain gases, temperatures, smoke, methane, carbon monoxide, pressure, hydrogen, dust, ammoniac and oxygen amongst others.

Velocity

Toxic combustion products and smoke from a fire travel with the ventilation airflow, thus placing a greater burden on  the fire detection and warning system.

Leak

Leak detection systems and leak detector, which will give an alarm indication, before stored product can enter the environment causing environmental pollution.

Smoke

Smoke and CO detection with high threshold alarms to provide early warning of smoke. FAA fire algorithm which monitors small but continuous rise in smoke or gas levels.

Fire

The fire detection component identify two main categories; Smoke and CO detection with high threshold alarms to provide early warning of fire.

Other

A variety of environment areas for monitoring where the safety of the environment and human life could be affected.
